Team Lipstick decided to skip breakfast and have brunch on this long drive to Luederitz and a nice roadside Wimpy was found just outside Marienthal.
Never on the trip before did Lipstick experience such long straight roads and Keetmanshoop was reached within 4hours and then a turn to the right saw the same straight roads towards Luederitz and the team joked about the possibility that Namibia could swap some straight roads in return for the many bending roads from Gabon.
Driving along the Sperrgebiet next to the diamond fields of Namibia the high speed driving took its toll and Lipstick ran out of fuel 31km before Luederitz.

This is when the 2 canisters on Lipsticks roof came in handy and with the help of a hose pipe one of these canisters still containing Diesel bought in Spain was emptied and after overcoming some airlocks Lipstick was ready to go and within 15minutes Luederitz was reached with its many petrol stations .
Lipsticks on board fuel station came in very handy…

With the sun setting down over the AtlanticLuederitz appeared amazingly beautiful with its many fishing boats resting in the harbour.

A nice place of rest was found and whilst having some sun downers the team met up with a young couple from Zurich who are currently touring Namibia and some travel experience about the west coast and Namibia was shared. Off course another game of Nkonki’s chess this time saw a Swiss victim shaking his head in disbelief…

Off to the small waterfront with a real harbour ambiance for a nice meal and back to the guesthouse for a loopdop or 2 … ended the day.
