Early start today again to be at the Ferry station by 8 am and the boys soon found themselves on this huge ferry carting cars, trucks and passengers from New Zealand’s South Island to the North Island with its 2nd biggest city Wellington.

By many described as one of the most scenic cruises in the world the 92 km crossing takes just 3.5 hours and at first winds its way through the north end of the Southern island before entering the bay-like southern end of the Northern island
Andre & Willy found a comfortable table in the upper deck lounge area and enjoyed the fjord like landscape to pass by before hitting the open sea and eventually arriving at the big bay with Wellington in sight.

It was pretty cold on arrival and with a slight drizzle to content with the boys proceeded to find a motel pretty much in the centre of the city whereafter some shopping took place to make sure that the Rugby match between South Africa and Namibia later in the evening could not cause any dehydration.

The famous Cuba Street with its endless numbers of restaurants was nearby and could be reached by foot and due to the cold weather, it was decided that a hot Indian curry would be the ideal remedy for the current climate.
Closed-by Irish pubs erupted in screams in answer to a huge defeat of Ireland by the Japanese underdogs and the boys decided to rather watch the SA game in their motel.
Unfortunately, the motel however had no open channels on their TV to show the match and Team Lipstick therefor resorted to watch the game on one of their I phonein sheer desperation.

Fortunately, the Springboks played up to their best and nailed Namibia 57:3 which was well celebrated by the boys before hitting bed for a good night’s sleep.
