The Vehicle

Team Bulldog

Our vehicle is the icon of Africa, a 2008 Landcruiser 70 4,2 diesel station wagon. You will find them around every corner and they have a proven track record in Africa, almost indestructible. Spares and repairs are available in most centres and the vehicle is very easy to work on with no fancy electronics and gadgets. Mark bought the vehicle second hand last year after it had clocked up 50 000km’s. The vehicle is in extremely good condition and has been well tested over the last year. Rene has spent many hours transforming the vehicle into the ultimate over-lander and it is now ready to go.

The vehicle is called THE BULLDOG because of its rugged looks and attitude.

Short Motivation and Team Objective

Our aim is to reach Germany come hell or high water. The recent troubles in Africa have probably made the challenge a bit more complex, but with sound planning and decision making we are sure we will get there on schedule. Over the years we have done a couple of crazy things like sailing a dhow up the Kenya coast and now we enter our next challenge. Who knows what lies in store after this……….in memory of our dearest colleague who could not make it. Rest in peace…you were a legend.
