Today again saw team Lipstick driving through the dry lands of the Western Sahara – although on the Mauritanian side.
As previously mentioned it becomes a bit boring after w while and the only highlights are the police stops who want to question team Lipstick “where from ,where to and why “
With the sun at its best the temperature outside the air-conditioned comfort of Lipstick reached 38 degrees and the grain sees things that do not exists …
Is that huge head on collision which just happened true?
Did it really happen or are we seeing a fata morgana?
How was Lipstick rescued?
…… Illusion or not …………….. all fake good friends……………….. , to break the monotony team Lipstick looked for suitable and pre EXISTING wreckages in the desert to come up with some crazy pictures – after all team Lipstick is on a fun outing….. Saaalaaat!
After some 5.5 hours and exactly 22 police stops (Andre is keeping statistics now daily) Lipstick arrived in NOUAKCHOTT roughly about 240km north of Senegal.
This town is extremely busy and suffers from a traffic collapse which was too much for even the Garmin Navi as well as for the team members – whilst still driving a Taxi close to Lipstick was summoned and through loud shouting the Taxi man agreed that we should follow him in order to find some overnight accommodation.
Andre will post some pictures and videos on the gallery of this web page soon.
The plan for tomorrow is to get to Senegal……………
