Perth

Perth is the capital city of Western Australia, with a population of almost 2 million people, and is famous for being the most isolated city in the world, completely surrounded by Australian nature: the Indian Ocean on one side and the Australian outback on the other.

Perth was founded by Captain James Stirling in 1829 as the administrative centre of the Swan River Colony mainly because the British feared the French would establish a colony in Western Australia. … Perth was named after the birthplace of Sir George Murray who was British Secretary of State for the Colonies when the city was founded in 1829.

After a late wake up the boys went to centre of town to do some shopping and explore the central area with its many skyscrapers. It must have been one of the hottest days ever according to a newspaper clipping…

Perth has melted under its hottest November day in four years.

Bureau of Meteorology duty forecaster Matt Boterhoven said the mercury hit 39.1C at 2.21pm Saturday, but across the metropolitan region it was even hotter.

“We did have a number of suburbs across Perth that topped 40C with Bullsbrook the hottest in the metro area reaching 41.3C, while Midland, Swan Valley, Jandakot and Swanbourne also had temps nudging above 40C,” he said.

“Warm weather is not unusual for Perth at this time of year, but what is unusual is the sustained hot north easterly flow reaching all the way to the coast.

In order to escape the heat a bit Team Lipstick decided to head to Scarborough Beach which is regarded as the best beach area around Perth
